Our Motto: "To preserve the past for the future"

Although based in Chipping Norton we not only have a strong group of local members carrying out research on local families and on a world wide basis but we also have members who live in different parts of the world.  Our season runs from March until December and we meet on the second Wednesday of each month with a full programme of speakers.  We are able to assist members with their own research and as well as holding a great number of records on CD, Microfiche and in book form.The group has a library that continues to grow month by month together with an archives department mainly of items donated by members and interested parties.  We pride ourselves in being able to take part in local projects which include such things as transcribing church records, churchyard surveys together with assisting the Chipping Norton Town Council with its cemetery records.  We also have close contact with the Oxfordshire County Family History Society.
