The WI was founded to give women isolated in rural areas companionship and to widen their horizons.

The Over Norton branch was founded in 1933 and has a membership of nearly 20.

We have monthly meetings with interesting speakers, demonstrations, trips, courses at the WI’s own college, Denman College near Abingdon.

We meet at 7.30pm  on the 3rd Thursday in the month – usually in Over Norton  Village Hall, winter in members’ homes.

Over Norton WI is part of the wider WI movement with the chance to influence government and public opinion at national & inter-national level through lobbying.
