As a local authority it is the role of West Oxfordshire District Council to support the emergency services in the case of a major incident. The Emergency Planning Team are on call 24 hours and will coordinate the Councils response during a major incident. Oxfordshire County Council also provide lots of information about emergency planning on their web site - including what to do in the event of toxic or radioactive gas clouds - now you have no excuses!
