It's easy to take good health for granted. Many of us will make it through life without needing major surgery or suffering a life threatening illness. We expect to live to a goodly old age, keeping fit and mobile into our seventies, eighties or even beyond - but bad habits and careless living can seriously affect not just our longevity, but the quality of the life we live, for however long that may be.
We all know what we ought to be doing - keep our weight down, stop smoking, take more exercise, drink in moderation, eat those five bits of fruit and veg a day, go easy on the eggs, cheese and butter...
Both the GP surgeries in Chippy have web sites that, as well as telling us about their services and opening times, also give advice on healthy living.
