Chipping Norton is blessed. Locals are well served by two decent sized supermarkets the Co-op and Sainsbury's but, best of all, we have a higher than average density of independent retailers that make the town a firm favourite with visitors. We have two family butchers, a bakers, two iron-mongers, a deli, a florist, a number of ladies' boutiques, one of Britain's favourite Independent Bookshops and a great selection of places to eat, from tea-rooms, cafes, restaurants and some brilliant pubs, inns and hotels offering food and rooms too. Tucked in between the beauticians and hairdressers we have a picture framers and a good number of galleries and shops selling gifts to suit all pockets, from trinkets the kids can buy with their pocket-money to unique Persian carpets. Throw into the mix a jewelers, two opticians and a couple of shops selling pre-loved furniture - there's not much you can't get in Chipping Norton!
